Spanish researchers have found that people who regularly drink a small amount of wine are less likely to suffer from depression.
Specialists from the University of Navarra over the course of 5 years observed 5,500 volunteers aged 55 to 80 years. All of them moderately consumed wine. The results showed that those who drank from two to seven small glasses of wine a week had a 32% lower risk of depression. If you take into account where the study took place, we can assume that the wine was light, natural. And voluntary participants in the experiment drank it, most likely in a good company. But if you drink “our way” and alone, then not only depression is guaranteed, but also alcoholism.
